On 9th July Zoolab visited Burnage. Pupils were introduced to such Rainforest Lovelies as the Madagascan Hissing Cockroach (Gromphadorhina madagascariensis); the American Cornsnake (Elaphe guttata) and the gigantic Emperor Scorpion (Pandinus imperator). Other slimy friends included the Giant African Land Snail (Achatina fulica) and the Chilean Rose Tarantula (Grammostola rosea). The Zoolab Ranger was a lucid expert and brought an excellent selection of animals showing the full range of Rainforest life, from the upper canopy to the forest floor.
